The fleeting nature of the relation between architecture and fashion must always be one of the driving forces that boosts the creativity coming from the collaboration and the bond between these disciplines. In Pepina Gallery boutique we tried to project an image of elegance out of time, creating a space that firmly conveys its longevity contrasting the extremely fast consumerism of the items it actually represents. The design gains from fashion its philosophy of modernity and its attention to details, that must be used, not only to sell the product, but above all to create tactile experiences and emotional seductions. For this reason the choice for Pepina Gallery plan turned to “tactile” materials, as the seductive wood which wraps, accompanies, hosts. This french assembled wood carpet, which is laid all the way to the end of the long space and goes up from the back wall to the ceiling covering it, creates a sort of curtain made of soft furniture. The space made of armchairs and sofas covered with dark brown leather, polished golden brass tables and big white crystal chandeliers, makes the client feel like in an elegant and historic theatre or in a fashionable cinema of the 50’s. In front of this padded parterre, on both sides, on the dazzling white walls, like on two big and consumed cinema screens, the desires of the audience are projected. A seamless exhibition tells a plot made of simple white structures spaced out by others in golden brass which support and disappear in the tale to leave space to the main characters of the boutique.
